tree-mendous (or not)
We had a little gathering here yesterday. Some new friends I’ve made since having Niblet (all with little ones of their own) and a few friends we’ve known for 6/7 years who we don’t see so much since having Niblet.

For anyone who is unfamiliar with the title of this post, it is the opening lines of one of my favourite poems ever.
Today has been a delighful day of Autumn colour. I don’t know if it’s having a nearly 3 year old or because I’m approaching middle-age, but I am really loving watching the birds in the garden as I wash up!!
Niblet and I had fun with glue, glitter, paint and sparkly star stickers on Sunday afternoon, making firework pictures. He loved making the pictures, but has told us all weekend he’s afraid of the bangs (fortunately out of 3 nights of ‘bangs’ the only night he struggled to get to sleep was Saturday)
Niblet went to his first Halloween party yesterday (but as usual I forgot the camera-so this was taken at home today!!).
Today has mostly been about paper. I had a day off from Niblet duties (nursery & Grandma took over) and went into Manchester.
I have finished 3….. yes, 3 projects this weekend. I hadn’t really been considering some of the things I make for Niblet as creative, but I make them, so I guess they are.
Happy birthday to my little blog!! 1 year old today. That’s not the only birthday on the horizon, Niblet’s best friend will be 3 next week, and I decided to make his present…
Last Saturday, I went (with not very high hopes, but a free ticket!!) to the Creative Stitches & Hobbycraft show at Event City near Manchester. It was better than I had expected, not too busy and not too big.
I have also got around to making a few things since June. I made this peg bag for my mother-in-law’s birthday in mid-July. I designed it myself (may need a little adjustment, but not bad!!) and made it from a vintage duvet cover I got in the charity shop.
