It has been a busy few weeks with us, which has left little time for making, but I’m trying to squeeze bits in here and there. Continue reading
chalk it up to experience
Now I know that D.I.Y chalkboards are all the crafting rage and that many people have probably posted about them, but I’ve wanted to have a go for a while. Continue reading
a quick word
I am loving ‘The Great British Sewing Bee’ on BBc2. It makes me glad that people can see that anyone can have a go at sewing….. and anyone can muck it up too!!
My mum auditioned for it and got to go to London with some of her creations, she even made it to the screen test. I think she would have managed admirably against the competition, but maybe she doesn’t have enough back story to make good telly.
Having a handsome, smooth judge in Patrick Grant makes it all the better too!! “It looks good from afar, but it is far from good” has to be the best line EVER!!

mini-making
Not the most stylish of photos, but knocking up a fire engine for Niblet before 9am on a Sunday morning with limited resources does not really require finesse!! Continue reading
short and sweet
This is the card I have made for Valentines for Hubbie this year. It still isn’t the card I had hoped to make this year or last, but I like it nonetheless.
I thought spring had sprung
Niblet and I had a great morning at the park in Saturday. Hubbie had gone for an interview in Birmingham, so we needed to be busy. Continue reading
