colour vision

I had a new camera for my birthday (you can never have too many!!)

I wanted one that fitted in my pocket, I love my digital bridge camera, but it is so big that I rarely take it out on trips to the park or into Manchester. This fits in the palm of my hand. It was a tough decision. I was torn between 2 camera, but decided on the less expensive one, as the only difference seemed to be wireless.

I’m not sure if I made the right decision. My mum recently bought the more expensive one, the other one that I was considering, to take on a trip to Peru. The colours in her photos are brilliant. Admittedly it wasn’t such a bright day when I took these pictures, but I found the colour quite washed out compared to what I was seeing. This camera does however have an expressive colour function and when I used that the colours seemed to be much more like my view of the colours. (maybe my view of colour is skewed?!)

I also had a play around with the camera while I was out gardening (so easy to slip in my pocket between photo ops). I was joined by a robin, who was keen to find any worms I had unearthed.

I was just noticing all the lovely colours in the garden and took lots of random photos, here are just a few.

Then last night we had the most spectacular sunset for some time.

Not that the other colours are any less lovely, they just weren’t as vibrant as the colours my eyes saw.

I have recently become aware of adverts appearing at the bottom of my posts. These are nothing to do with me, I don’t know why they are there or indeed how to get rid of them. I apologise.
