wonderful weekend

The last 2 weekends have been lovely. Glorious sunshine and blue skies.

The weeks in between, less lovely, mostly grey, windy and rainy, but it is autumn so I shouldn’t be surprised.

The last Sunday of September saw us round at friends having a barbeque, while last weekend was definitely family time.

On Saturday, I joined the boys at Wally Walrus for the first (& probably last) time. Niblet is so confident in the water, it amazes me every week at swimming. Today he spent all the final 5 minutes of ‘play’, diving down to the bottom to pick up a weighted stick. I know it’s only the junior pool, but it’s still pretty good for a 3 year old.

After Wally Walrus, we all headed into Manchester and went to MOSI (Museum of Science and Industry). Last time we went Niblet was probably a little young to appreciate it, even the hands on bit. But this time he loved the hands on section. (So did Hubbie – second picture!!)

Last Sunday, we all went to the park. It was lovely. Niblet & Hubbie went off to play football, while I sat on a bench to take pictures and read the paper in the sunshine. FAB!!

I love autumn days like this, particularly when it’s still warm. Blue skies, crunchy leaves on the ground and the ever changing colours.

All the photos in this post were taken on my new Windows phone. I’m still getting to grips with it all and I’m not sure how well they’ve all come out. But I really like the phone and all the clever stuff it does; I’m so behind the times, who knew you could check email while you’re out!!

I have recently become aware of adverts appearing at the bottom of my posts. These are nothing to do with me, I don’t know why they are there or indeed how to get rid of them. I apologise.
