Happy New Year!!

I hope you have all recovered from all the festivities of the past few weeks. We had a great time with Nana & Grandad.
Niblet now has more toys than he knows what to do with…. the disadvantage of a Christmas Day birthday – everything comes at once.
I have, however, opened some things without his knowledge and hidden them to be brought out some other time when he has grown tired of his current favourites.
Niblet has (well, we all have) been so lucky. He has had some great toys; lots of wooden train tracks, that are now taking over the front room, a wooden 4×4 & trailer, a wooden tool set…. can you see a theme? I am a fan of wooden toys, rather than plastic, where possible and it seems that others are picking up on this.

Well, I’m not one for making resolutions, but I’m going to try and get crafty in some way or other every week this year.
I spent most of yesterday afternoon cutting strips of  2011’s Christmas wrap to make Christmas 2012’s paper chains, any large bits were saved for re-wrapping!! (Reduce, Reuse.. etc)

Does that count as craftiness, or just preparation?

Wishing everyone a happy, healthy & hopeful 2012.
